Latest tracker shows Cuadrilla had put over £2.9 million into the local economy by the end of the last quarter
Cuadrilla published its latest Putting Lancashire First tracker, with all figures independently verified by Lytham-based accountancy and audit practice, Danbro Ltd, showing that it has spent nearly £3m in the county so far.
Most of this is money that has been spent directly with suppliers, with a portion (£644,000) the result of indirect expenditure where its appointed contractors have also gone on to spend money in Lancashire.
The tracker also reveals that 19 separate contractors have been engaged by Cuadrilla, and that it has created or supported 5 apprenticeships and internships through its work.
It's a great sign that shale gas exploration is already delivering jobs and contracting opportunities in Lancashire.
